Mac OSX 10.6.6 Coming Soon, Including Mac App Store
Developers who are enrolled in the Mac App Store development program now have access to the latest build of the long-awaited Mac OSX 10.6.6 update (known as Build 10J537 internally). This update is what will bring Mac App Store functionality to the general public. So far this specific developer build of the update has been classified as a "golden master". These are almost always the final development version and are identical to those that will be soon released. If everything runs as planned this means that the Mac App Store is complete and ready for public release.
This latest update weighs in as 1,000 MB (ouch!) and comes just four weeks after its initial developer build release. Those with limited available hard drive space should begin clearing space now as updates often require much more space than the update itself for the install process to begin.
