iPad 2 Media Event Announced

The Loop has reported that Apple has invited several media representatives to a media event on Wednesday, March 2nd. The invitation image shows a calendar icon peeled back with a portion of an iPad visible with the text "come see what 2011 will be the year of".

This recent announcement comes with a flurry of varying rumored release dates of the iPad 2, some projecting as far off as June.

I myself have been waiting for this release day to purchase an iPad. If you're thinking of buying one, a short wait is recommended.
